Crafting the Octo Roma Naturalia from a single block of natural stone is a daring challenge when it comes to maintaining the harmony of each stone vein and color. Within two months, stones were selected, cut and polished by hand. Each watch is the culmination of hundreds of years of experience in fine craftsmanship, demonstrating the feats of masters. The watchmakers had to insert a thin slice of stone into the mechanical bezel and tourbillon movement to showcase Bulgari's signature craftsmanship and aesthetic.

The Maestria collection is the intersection of 21st-century innovation and age-old expertise. Watchmaking has always been about customizable creations and now, with the introduction of the Maestria app, this is done in a more modern way.

Maestria Technology started with an application platform designed for tablets. At first, Maestria was only available to the Octo Roma Naturalia line at Bulgari boutiques and high-end watch and jewelry events. Customers will be guided step-by-step by a consultant to create their own splendid timepiece, including choosing the type of stone, case material, and back engraving.

After setting options, customers will see an overview of the design and product details, and can share this summary via email or print. When the customer is satisfied with their work, they complete and submit the order for production to begin. They can also save the design for later review. Customers will be kept up to date with each important step of the watchmaking process, with details and illustrations.
