A Look at the Best Bijoux Moments of 2022
Here, all of our favourite jewellery moments from 2022
Anne Hathaway at the Cannes Film Festival
At the Cannes Film Festival this year, we were stunned by the effortless energy of Anne Hathaway, who appeared to be ageing backwards. One of our favourite moments? Her runway appearance for the film she stars in – Armageddon Time, where she wore a Bulgari Mediterranean Reverie necklace.
Blackpink’s Jisoo for Cartier
At the forefront of both K-pop and fashion is the quartet Blackpink. And this year, Jisoo definitely made waves in the jewellery scene when she was named an ambassador of the House for Cartier. Her effervescent elegance is palpable, and we’re excited to see what else she’s going to bring to the Cartier name in 2023.
Fendi Flavus
The Maison made sure its first-ever High Jewellery collection wouldn’t go unnoticed. Fendi debuted the yellow-hued collection at its Fall/Winter 2022 Couture show, where the Flavus (Latin for yellow) crystals got their time in the sun. We especially loved the almost-geometric FF monogram detailing of this collection that echoes Fendi’s house codes.
“Lose Yourself in Love”
Tiffany & Co. and Queen Bey herself had a legendary partnership this year, with the central attraction being the Lose Yourself in Love film. Inspired by the iconic Studio 54 era in New York City, this minute-long film features Beyonce, deep in club and rave culture, dripping in pieces from various Tiffany & Co. collections.
Julia Fox’s Leaf Couture
The ever-influential Julia Fox had so many unforgettable moments this year, but one, in particular, stood out to us: her DIY leaf dress and earring. The model used real autumn leaves from the park, and dipped them in resin, before fashioning herself a full look. More body jewellery than clothing, her innovation has once again taken the cake. Who says jewellery is always expensive?
Eternal Gold
This year, Sana from Twice stole the spotlight on multiple occasions. Since her appearance at Prada’s Spring/Summer 2023 show, the Japanese singer has garnered a lot of attention with the house. And later this year, she became one of the faces of Prada’s Fine Jewellery collection 'Eternal Gold', where her chic charm captured the Maison’s essence.
“Unexpected Wonders”
When legends meet legends, you get Bulgari’s 'Unexpected Wonders' campaign. In this film directed by Paolo Sorrentino, Zendaya and Anne Hathaway wander through a romantic and flower-filled world. The classy duo have a natural chemistry, and it really shows. Talk about timelessness.
INTO THE WILD
One of the bijoux highlights of the year happened right on our shores. The INTO THE WILD experience with Cartier was an epic party, where the queen of K-pop herself graced us with her presence. CL, alongside a slew of local celebrities like Zoe Tay and Mae Tan, was decked out in Panthère de Cartier jewellery.
