Versace Debuts Aespa’s Ningning as Their Newest Global Brand Ambassador
The ‘Drama’ singer is the first female K-pop idol to be named Global Brand Ambassador of Versace.
Italian luxury house Versace has just minted Ningning as the maison’s latest Global Brand Ambassador. Ningning, the powerhouse vocalist from K-pop quartet Aespa, joins other global brand ambassadors such as Anne Hathaway, Chris Lee and Stray Kids’ Hyunjin, who was inducted into the brand in July last year as the maison’s first Korean Global Brand Ambassador.
Donatella Versace, the Artistic Director and Vice President of the label, says on Ningning’s appointment, “Ningning is not only a brilliantly talented star she is a wonderful person. She has a strong, confident vision, incredible energy and talent and she looks amazing wearing our clothes. I am thrilled she is becoming part of our global Versace family.”
“Versace has always been about pushing boundaries of creative expression and championing those who are confident to express themselves, especially in the music world. That is why being a Versace Brand Ambassador is so exciting for me. I feel a new strong attitude when I wear Versace and I’m excited to share it with everyone in the hope that they too feel confident to share their own strength and power,” shares the 21-year-old singer on her new position with the brand.
The blossoming relationship between Ningning and Versace has been on our minds for a while. At the Cannes Film Festival last year, Ningning attended the event with her bandmates Karina and Winter in a glamorous black and white Versace gown, making the group the first Korean girl group to make an appearance at the internationally recognised festival. In October 2023, the Chinese singer also donned a black Crystal Medusa ’95 minidress in Shanghai for the brand’s Versace Icons dinner.
