Venice Min On Ballet, Modelling and Dreams
How did you first get into modelling?
It was kind of like my dream to get into entertainment. I have always wanted to be a model since I was in high school, but I did not really expect it to become my career. And now that I am half-based in Singapore as well, it’s surreal. I’m excited as I want to challenge myself to do new things every year.
You used to do ballet and you even became a teacher one point. Do you think you’ll ever go back to being a dancer?
Sometimes I wish that I can dance for fun. My schedule is really hectic now so I can’t really do it. But maybe in the future? Right now I want to build my career first and find something stable and see where things go from there. I feel like now is the peak time for my career.
Were you always a very driven person?
I’ve always loved being in control and I am very conscious about what I am doing. I love planning. I’m already thinking about what I am going to do for the rest of the year and the year after that.
What is the challenge that you’ve set for yourself this year?
I really want to expand my career by getting into the acting industry. So far, I have acted in two movies and a web series.
Is there a particular role that you’d like to play?
I am kind of interested in acting a role in an action film. It’s something different because I am always dressed up like a model, so people tend to have the impression that I’m a very feminine person. I’m trying to break that impression, to prove to people that I can be more than that. It’s also something that I want to prove to myself.
