All The Highlights From Tommy Hilfiger's Star-Studded Spring/Summer 2025 Show
The designer's Spring/Summer 2025 collection was presented aboard the Staten Island Ferry.
Tommy Hilfiger, a true ambassador of preppy, collegiate American style, has charted a course back to his roots with a navy-inspired Spring/Summer 2025 collection. Classic silhouettes are at the helm—think sea captain blazers, peacoat trenches, cricket jumpers, V-necks, pleated khaki chinos, and shirt dresses—all draped in the brand’s signature red, white, and blue palette. Yet, Hilfiger brings a fresh wind to the familiar, introducing playful, unexpected details like crinkled trousers, lightweight denim cut-offs, and loose, hand-knitted sweaters spun from silk, cotton, and cashmere. Fitted capris in colourful checks add an energetic touch to the lineup.
“We’re revisiting the nautical and maritime inspirations that have been a cornerstone of our iconic look since 1985,” Hilfiger shared in a statement. “But for 2025, we’ve refreshed and remixed it: this collection embodies effortless summer style with a confidence that seamlessly transitions from a breezy ferry ride to city life.” The collection anchors itself in sailing heritage, with Breton and Ithaca striped shirts taking center stage. Vintage regatta jackets and fluid utility pants are crafted from sailcloth nylons and crinkled cottons, while women’s capri pants, cut in solids and checks, pair effortlessly with oversized fisherman knits.
Classic prep gets a modern twist with crew jackets blending linen and leather, chinos with deck-inspired turn-ups, and double-pleated yacht shorts. Soft tailoring, inspired by the comfort of a captain’s cabin, lends a refined edge to sporty blazers, hand-knit polos, and deconstructed trench coats. The finishing touches? Neck-tie bandanas, hand-woven coastal slippers, and raffia baseball caps adorned with the new TH Monogram rope. It’s the latest evolution of American prep—where vibrant Ivy League style meets easy, coastal functionality.
Front row was star-studded, with Stray Kids' Felix and Lee Know, BLACKPINK's Jisoo, and Damson Idris making an appearance, while Abby Champion, the face of Hilfiger’s Fall '24 campaign, graced the runway to cheers from her fiancé, Patrick Schwarzenegger.
Building on last February’s show at Grand Central’s Oyster Bar, Hilfiger continues to breathe new life into iconic New York City venues. This season, cultural figures gathered aboard a decommissioned ship at Pier 17, South Street Seaport, where they enjoyed an evening of Hilfiger hospitality with breathtaking views of the Brooklyn and Manhattan Bridges. With the ship’s original interiors still intact, the show was a poignant farewell to its maritime past, while celebrating its future transformation into a comedy club under the new ownership of Pete Davidson and Colin Jost.
