Thai Actress, Tu Tontawan Stuns Singapore Crowd at Lady Dior House Exhibition
The upcoming 'Scarlet Heart Thailand' star attended the launch of Dior's exclusive art showcase inspired by their iconic Lady Dior bag.
On July 17, French luxury Maison, Dior opened the doors to their Lady Dior House — A limited time art exhibition celebrating the iconic handbag. For the grand opening, Brand Ambassador and Thai star, Tu Tontawan made her way to Singapore to attend and explore the art space, bringing a huge crowd of fans to Jiak Kim street where the exhibition is located.
The stunning actress arrived at the event in a chic, two-piece ensemble from Dior's Fall/Winter 2024 collection, a beige skirt and blazer paired simply with a black turtleneck and patent leather boots for an edgier, modern feel. Of course, in tow is her very own Lady Dior handbag in black. Tu shot to fame with her lead role in F4 Thailand: Boys Over Flowers, which became an international hit and introduced thousands to her ethereal beauty and youthful appeal. Excitingly, Tu has also recently been casted in another upcoming, highly anticipated Thai remake of a super popular K-drama, Scartlet Heart Thailand alongside top stars such as Win Metawin, Tay Tawan, Nanon and more.
Since 2016, a captivating initiative has beckoned artists worldwide to embrace the art of reappropriation, uniting them in a shared mission: to reinterpret, rethink, and elevate the legacy of the classic Dior emblem. The House of Dior proudly presents Lady Dior House, a unique traveling exhibition celebrating the iconic bag through its myriad reinventions.
This enchanting showcase unfolds in Singapore, nestled in the vibrant Jiak Kim Street, a stone's throw from the Dior boutique at ION Orchard. The Lady Dior House offers an extraordinary experience, featuring the debut of "Lady Dior As Seen By" in Singapore, with contributions from 30 international artists and exclusive Dior Lady Art bags. Local talents Genevieve Chua, Samuel Xun, and Grace Tan contribute their unique visions, transforming this coveted accessory into a canvas for striking artistic expressions.
Amidst this stunning exhibition, the Lady Dior undergoes several metamorphoses, enriched by emblematic projects like Lady Dior As Seen By and Dior Lady Art. With breathtaking installations and numerous photo opportunities, it’s a must-visit for any Dior aficionado and admirers of the Lady Dior handbag, which first graced the arm of Lady Diana, Princess of Wales, in Paris in 1995. The Lady Dior House is open to the public from July 18 to August 11, 2024, at Jiak Kim Street.
