South Korean Rapper, Lee Young-ji is Announced as Coach's Newest Global Ambassador

The unapologetically authentic rapper also shows off her glam side as she takes center stage in the American label's Fall 2023 campaign

Coach introduces a groundbreaking partnership, appointing artist and rapper Lee Young-ji as their inaugural global ambassador from South Korea. Lee will take center stage in Coach's upcoming Fall 2023 campaign, marking a historic collaboration.

Having honed her rap skills from an early age, Lee Young-ji gained recognition by becoming the youngest and first female winner of the reality TV series High School Rapper. Her journey continued with a victory in the renowned rap competition Show Me the Money, making her the first female Lee Young-ji's ability to convey her personal narrative through music resonates with Coach's "Courage to Be Real" ethos. This philosophy, centered on embracing one's authentic self, aligns with Lee's journey of self-expression.

Expressing her enthusiasm, Lee Young-ji shares, "I’m thrilled to be an ambassador for Coach, a brand that I enjoy wearing and that inspires me. I can’t wait to share what we’ve been working on together and excited to continue to share my story as part of our collaborations."

Creative Director Stuart Vevers commends Lee's unabashed and raw authenticity which she is known for throughout her career. She's often seen in national television without make-up and is well-known for her honest yet humourous way of speaking, stating, "Young-ji is someone who inspires others by being herself. She reflects the spirit of confidence and self-expression that we champion at Coach, as well as our vision for a more inclusive fashion world through the Coach family"

Beyond music, Lee Young-ji has appeared on the TV game show Earth Arcade and hosted her YouTube talk show My Alcohol Diary which sees the rapper interviewing some of the biggest names in K-pop in a laid back manner, including Blackpink's Jisoo, Aespa's Karina and BTS' Jin just to name a few. Notably, 2022 saw the kick-off of her inaugural global tour, and now, anticipation mounts as she sets the stage for her Asia tour commencing this September. The Main Character world tour will encompass captivating performances across Taiwan, Singapore, and beyond.
