For the Spring/Summer 2017 season, Diesel Black Gold creative director Andreas Melbostad portrays a new urban femininity

Diesel Black Gold’s iconic utilitarian, industrial look meets a subtle romanticism influenced by the ethereal aesthetic of David Hamilton’s pictures.

The dichotomy between fragility and strength, the contrasting forces behind toughness and tenderness, find a dynamic balance in the collection.

Military vintage accents give a strong appeal to the delicate yet sensual femininity of silk and suede flirty mini dresses embellished with ruffles and broderie anglaise inserts. Their attitude, echoing corsetry and lingerie references, is empowered by the introduction of drawstrings, cotton webbing, utility belts and laced-up details.

Skirts are cut short and show full silhouettes, while pants feature generous volumes for a parachute-inspired look.

Denim is enriched with macramé lace and broderie anglaise panels. Jeans also incorporate corset-inspired constructions.

The footwear range enhances the powerful femininity of the collection with laced-up canvas combat boots, laced-up canvas ballerina sneakers and gladiator sandals. Bags include mini suede buckets, enriched with leather fringes and studs.
