BLACKPINK's Rosé is Announced as Puma's Latest Global Ambassador
Yesterday, the sportswear label made the explosive announcement, officially welcoming Rosé to the PUMA family
BLACKPINK's Rosé has firmly established herself as a formidable force and a source of inspiration in the K-pop industry, as well as a fashion icon in her own right. In an exciting new partnership, Rosé will lend her distinctive vision, voice, and insights to PUMA's global campaigns and narratives. Her ambassadorship will focus on elevating PUMA's renowned footwear models and supporting the "Rewrite the Classics" initiative, which celebrates PUMA's most timeless brands by reintroducing them to a new generation.
"I am thrilled to join the PUMA family," said Rosé. "I can't wait for my fans to join me in this next chapter with PUMA."
Rosé joins an illustrious roster of PUMA Sportstyle ambassadors who have driven change, including Rihanna, A$AP Rocky, Dua Lipa, and Skepta. She begins her collaboration by showcasing the PUMA Palermo shoe, bringing her unique style to the iconic low-top design. Throughout this partnership, the K-pop star will champion additional classic brands within PUMA's Sportswear portfolio.
"I am so excited to join the PUMA family. I cannot wait for my fans to join my next chapter with PUMA," said Maria Valdes, Chief Product Officer at PUMA. "Rosé’s remarkable influence on music, fashion, and culture globally are such an inspiration. We are thrilled to embark on this journey with her, where she will play a diverse role, leveraging her knowledge and vision to help us redefine our classic space. Her unique perspective will be instrumental in amplifying PUMA’s ‘Rewrite the Classics’ program highlighting franchises like Palermo, Speedcat, amongst others. We are delighted to welcome her to our PUMA family, and we eagerly anticipate the accomplishments we will achieve together."
Rosé's passion for music ignited at a young age when she began learning to play the piano and guitar, which eventually led to her deep-seated love for singing and composing. Her debut solo album, 'R,' released in 2021, featured the lead single "On the Ground," which set a record for the most-viewed music video within the first 24 hours by a solo K-pop artist on YouTube. Rosé has garnered accolades including the Hanteo Music Awards and the Mnet Asian Music Awards. Notably, she is the first artist to top the Billboard Global 200 both as a solo artist and as a member of a group.
