Phoebe Philo Launches Her Own Brand after a Three-Year Hiatus

The former creative director of Céline and one of the most talented designers of all time is back with her own brand, backed by French luxury group LVMH.

Phoebe Philo is known for one of her greatest successes in fashion – reinventing Céline, producing exceptional results and transforming the way women across the world dress today.

Philo introduced three foundational bag lines now easily recognisable on the streets by their identifiable shapes – the ‘Cabas’, ‘Luggage’ and ‘Classic’. Adored by fashion editors, street style bloggers, celebrities like Kanye West, and Philo’s own devotees – known as the ‘Philophiles’ – her minimalist and understated style won the hearts and minds of fashion lovers far and wide.

According to market analysis, Philo’s collections even lifted annual sales by more than €500 million during her tenure.

“Being in my studio and making once again has been both exciting and incredibly fulfilling,” said Philo in a short statement. “I am very much looking forward to being back in touch with my audience and people everywhere. To be independent, to govern and experiment on my own terms is hugely significant to me."

More information about Philo's brand will be released in January 2022 but the label is said to be of exceptional quality and will no doubt be one of the most anticipated brands to look forward to in the post-pandemic fashion era.
