Following the news last week of Bouchra Jarrar's departure from Lanvin, a successor has officially been appointed: Olivier Lapidus.
The French designer has taken on the role of Artistic Director effective immediately and will present his first collection for Lanvin in September. Lapidus previously served as Creative Director of Balmain Homme from 1985 to 1986, before moving to Maison Lapidus – founded by his late father Ted Lapidus – until 2000. Earlier this month, he released a prêt-à-porter collection under his eponymous label exclusively on Instagram. In an interview with Vogue, Lapidus revealed that Création Olivier Lapidus will remain exclusive but hinted at a possible crossover between his namesake concept and Lanvin.
