Lead role or not, Nicola Coughlan never fails to leave audiences speechless with her stunning fashion moments on every red carpet premiere of the Regency era hit show Bridgerton. With Penelope Featherington's wardrobe change in the latest season, it's clear that the actress shares some similarities with her character in terms of elegance, confidence, and style. Season 3 London Screening
The first Bridgerton event of the year was held on Valentine’s Day to showcase a sneak peek of the brand-new season. Coughlan made her premiere debut as the lead role in a perfect all-red outfit with rose gold heart earrings from British jewellery brand Otiumberg. Her oversized Stella McCartney blazer dress and fuzzy pumps made a bold statement which we think is a reflection of Penelope’s newfound confidence this season.
Season 3 Bowral Launch
At the launch of the season’s first half in Australia, Coughlan wore a custom Richard Quinn gown whom she reached out to herself as she wrote in her Instagram post saying, “I contacted him because I have been obsessed with this dress since I first saw it on the runway and dreamed of wearing it. I asked him if he and his brilliant team made it for me and they did and it’s better than I ever could’ve imagined.”
The black beaded dress featured a flattering off-the-shoulder sleeve with a plunging neckline for a sultry look.
Season 3 Part 1 New York World Premiere
Perhaps as an homage to her character’s wish to become a bride in this season, Coughlan donned a stunning custom white off-the-shoulder gown by Danielle Frankel with a flattering peplum waist and a long train. She paired it with white pointed pumps, elegant evening gloves with an Artists4Ceasefire badge, emerald jewellery from Chopard, and a bold red lip.
Season 3 Part 2 Toronto Premiere
Coughlan showed up in Canada looking regal at the premiere of the second half of the season wearing a Sara Mrad lavender blue mini dress paired with a dramatic puffy ruby Paris mikado cape. She accessorized with YSSO’s gold Droplets Earrings and a pair of Christian Louboutin heels.
Season 3 Part 2 Dublin Premiere
The actress wore a custom black dress from Erdem that accentuated her figure perfectly. The frock features a column skirt silhouette but with a voluminous tulle train that wraps the back half of her dress. More tulle is wrapped around her chest, creating an off-the-shoulder moment — something that she seems to be gravitating towards very much this season. She yet again rocked a bold red lip.
Season 3 Part 2 London Premiere
As for the last premiere, Coughlan looked absolutely astonishing in a custom Rodarte hand-beaded blush off-the-shoulder gown with scallop detailing. She also wore velvet maroon evening gloves with her Artists4Ceasfire pin badge on top. What really completed her whole look was a pale pink veil that was secured on her head with the same beaded scallops found on her dress.
