The Inspiration
Following his debut last season, creative director Daniel Lee is ready to set the bar high once again. “Spring 2020 brings the codes we are building at Bottega Veneta. Our focus is on process and clarity; immediate and direct," said the designer. For Spring/Summer 2020, the brand explores warmth, desire, happiness, and celebration.
The Look
Contemporary and cool, the new Bottega Veneta is designed for the woman who knows exactly what she wants. Shapes are minimalist and play on proportion, with twisting drapes and proportions executed with fine precision. A touch of sensuality is added by low-cut necklines and bared shoulders that show just the right amount of skin.
The Colour Palette
While many designers tapped on spring tones, Lee bet on neutrals like beige, brown, and black, rounded out with flashes of colour in red, orange, and blue.
The Accessories
Accessories resonate with an attitude of beauty and comfort. Jewellery disrupts the clean silhouettes, while shoes and bags are hued in eye-catching shades of striking blue, emerald green, and bright tangerine. Materials feature in their purest forms - wood, gold, lacquer, leather, and more. Classicism contrasts with modernism in refined techniques of knotting, weaving, and knitting.
