Louis Vuitton Fall/Winter 2017

For Fall 2017, Nicolas Ghesquière imagined a world without borders or barriers of any kind – blurring the line between genders, civilisation and wilderness as well as the traditional and experimental
clothing apparel person human fur coat

Like several other designers this season, Nicolas Ghesquière’s show for Louis Vuitton focused less on spectacle (the Louvre location notwithstanding), and focused instead on luxurious yet wearable clothes suited to everyday life. Jackets of every shape and fabrication were paired with slim-cut jeans and trousers, with the odd fur piece and dresses rendered in patchwork prints and jacquard the only concession to decadence.
