Meet Suboi. The fast-rising rapper – who has a Kenzo X H&M campaign under her belt, and notably performed for former President of the United States, Barack Obama – works high-impact pieces from the capsule collection that celebrates Kenzo Takada’s works from the ’70s, ’80s and ’90s. Much more than a mere #throwback moment, the effervescent mix of looks and images indicates fashion’s current obsession with ornamentation, adornment, embellishment and that of-the-moment notion of more-is-more.

“Less is more was then. More is more – that’s so now. As the late American actress and sex symbol Mae West once said: ‘Too much of a good thing is wonderful!’ And it’s clear to see that some of today’s most sought after designers – cue Alessandro Michele and Demna Gvasalia – agree,” – Managing Editor Ian Lee.

In the spirit of more-is-more, L’Officiel Singapore brings you exclusive Bag Stage Passes this issue: a whopping 26-page compilation featuring the season’s most noteworthy XL totes, practical slings, statement minaudieres, and almost everything in between. We also celebrate Versace – a name synonymous with maximalism – by examining 500 of the late Gianni Versace’s greatest hits. And because very few things can be more extravagant and over-the-top than the finest jewellery, get set to feast your eyes on Chaumet’s spectacular Est Une Fête piece, Bulgari’s utterly drool-worthy Festa range, and the stunners from Chanel’s Flying Cloud collection.
