The Kims Unite for a Special Fendi x SKIMS Collaboration

The rumours are true — Kim Kardashian West has partnered up with longtime friend Kim Jones of Fendi for a special collaboration. Launching this November, the collection couples SKIMS’ trendy and fitting ensembles with Fendi’s knowledge of luxury high fashion to deliver shapewear and contemporary clothing to fashion aficionados everywhere.

“Kim Jones and I have been close friends for years,” says Kim Kardashian West, “I love his creative spirit and how he understands luxury in a way that makes total sense for how people want to dress. He works extremely hard, and as a workaholic myself, I recognize and admire the passion he puts into everything he does.”

The collection features SKIMS’ shapewear — exclusively branded with Fendi’s motifs — along with high fashion pieces like nude leather dresses and knitted cardigans among others. “Both Fendi and SKIMS have a cultural power very different from each other, but equally as strong,” explains Kim Kardashian West, “We share a desire to push boundaries, think differently and challenge convention which is why we found so much common ground collaborating on this collection together.”

“The innovation in fabrics and fit typical to SKIMS paired with the luxury and quality of Fendi may feel unexpected to some people, but the similarities between our creative vision and goals are so closely aligned,” continues Kim Kardashian West. “It’s that tension that excites me.”

Taking inspiration from Fendi’s archival collection dating back to 1979, Jones reworked the House’s iconic twisted tube tops, bright colours, and tight sashes into modern ensembles to better suit what’s trending in fashionable everyday wear today. Colour-wise, the collection goes from 0 to 100 very quickly — offering clothing in both complementary neutral tones and bold neon colours.
