JW Anderson Joins The Moncler Genius Lineup For 2020
Now in its third edition, the Moncler Genius project returns for 2020 with a star-studded lineup of designers featuring Simone Rocha, Craig Green, Hiroshi Fujiwara, Richard Quinn, Matthew Williams, Sergio Zambon and Veronica Leoni, Sandro Marino, Poldo Dog Couture, and for the first time, Jonathan Anderson, of JW Anderson and Loewe.
Known for his gender-defying hybrids of menswear and womenswear silhouettes, the Northern Irish designer will bring his signature aesthetic to the storied heritage of Moncler, representing a new chapter in the evolution of the Genius initiative.
The luxury house is also collaborating with luggage brand Rimowa on a new travel concept, called Moncler Rimowa "Reflection", which plays on the ideas of connectivity and communication in the current digital age. Meanwhile, Mate.Bike will offer an electrical bicycle adapted to extreme terrains and weather, in the hopes of reinterpreting "the ordinary through the extraordinary and to inspire emotions in both the city, and the mountain."
