American designer Jeremy Scott is reportedly leaving his role as creative director of Moschino. Scott was appointed to the esteemed position in 2013, where he succeeded former creative director Rossella Jardini.

"I am fortunate to have had the opportunity of working with the creative force that is Jeremy Scott," Massimo Ferretti, executive chairman of Moschino's parent company Aeffe, told WWD. "I would like to thank him for 10 years of commitment to Franco Moschino's legacy house and for ushering in a distinct and joyful vision that will forever be a part of Moschino history."

Scott mentioned that he was "so proud of the legacy I am leaving behind" and described his experience "as a wonderful celebration of creativity and imagination."

Underneath Scott's visionary leadership, Moschino's roots of ironic fashion continued on, though he brought the label to new heights by making Moschino a brand among the stars.

Over his 10-year run, Scott attracted many A-list celebrities to the brand including Katy Perry, Bebe Rexha, Gigi Hadid, Lil Nas X, Taylor Swift, and Sabrina Carpenter, among many more. Most recently, Angela Bassett attended the 2023 Academy Awards in a dramatic royal purple Moschino gown.

Scott's last runway show at the helm of Moschino was this most recent Milan Fashion Week for the Fall/Winter 2023 season. Like every collection of the past, the presentation was playful yet tasteful. It was a fun take on pop punk with its spiked hair, tweed suits, melted silhouettes, and fishnet leggings.

As for what the future of Moschino will look like, there is still no word on who will be taking over Scott's role.
