Gucci has announced a relaunch of its Equilibrium platform as part of its ongoing efforts to channel sustainability and combat discrimination. The Italian luxury house has also published the results of its yearly Environmental Profit and Loss report, detailing their efforts to clean up Gucci’s environmental impact.

Gucci Equilibrium is an instagram account with a recently refreshed website, Equilibrium.gucci.com, which highlights the brand’s commitment to environmental advocacy, human rights in response to global appeals for reform.

“Gucci is driven by the issues that are fundamentally influencing and creating our collective future,” said Marco Bizzarri, president and CEO of Gucci, in a statement. “It is paramount that we build this future to be more equitable, where injustice and discrimination in all their forms are not allowed to prevail. In light of current events, our unwavering commitment to combat racism and fight for equality is now even stronger.”

The luxury house's 2019 Environmental Profit & Loss report reveals a -21% reduction in total environmental impacts compared to the previous year. These positive results are the result of efforts to improve high impact areas along the entire supply and production chain, interventions that have led to concrete and positive changes for their business and the planet.

Gucci Equilibrium originally launched in 2018 as a digital portal with aims to inspire and unify a community of voices to join the conversations around topics that are increasingly critical in today’s world.
