Gucci and Superplastic Unveil a Collaborative Three-Part Collection
This exciting new collaboration – titled 'SuperGucci' includes CryptoJanky NFTs, handmade ceramics, and more.
Gucci has teamed up with the leading global brand behind limited edition vinyl toys, animated celebrities, and digital collectables – Superplastic to launch a limited range of CryptoJanky NFTs and ceramic sculptures.
Titled 'SuperGucci', the bespoke, three-part series will make its debut drop with ten different, exclusive NFTs. Each NFT will be accompanied by handmade in Italy, ceramic sculptures co-designed by Gucci and Superplastic. Reimagined through the lens of Superplastic’s synthetic celebrities and artists Janky and Guggimon, each extremely limited and valuable NFT takes inspiration from Gucci’s signature patterns, symbols, and icons.
To mark the occasion, two of Superplastic’s animated celebrities visit the digital Gucci Vault. The brainchild of creative director Alessandro Michele, they find themselves immersed in a virtual environment where Gucci’s past, present, and future co-exist. The collection reflects both labels’ desire to experiment within the metaverse, following Gucci’s multitude of virtual experiences and its Aria NFT along with Superplastic’s Heist NFT drop.
Together with the release of this collection, Vault will present its sixth drop of one-of-a-kind vintage, pre-owned Gucci pieces, handpicked by Alessandro Michele and the House’s archivists. Restored and reconditioned, the numbered vintage articles will each come in their own, unique packaging.
