Glitter Girls: Miu Miu Fall/Winter 2019 Accessories

What would you wear to survive the apocalypse? Miuccia Prada has the answer. Her Fall/Winter 2019 collection for Miu Miu is made for damsels not in distress. Military silhouettes are given the Miu Miu twist. Floor-length capes are paired with ruffled blouses and high-cut shorts, camouflage prints are tempered with knitted textures, lug-soled combat boots are matched with embroidered taffeta dresses, and army greens are offset by blooming florals. Exactly what you would want to wear on your way to save the world.

Of course, it wouldn’t be Miu Miu without some sparkle, and this season’s accessories add just the right amount of glitter to glam up your girl on a mission look. Bright satin pumps are ornamented with triple lines of Swarovski crystals, adding a pop of vivid colour. Mary-Janes are reimagined in silver or gold glitter fabric, with double T-straps to set you apart from the rest. The latest bags in the collection don’t hold back either. Three variations of the leather bandoleer bag come with crystal embellishments on the shoulder straps – the boxy vertical bandoleer, the cylindrical vertical bandoleer, and the slouchy drawstring bandoleer. The latter two also have tassel details. The star Mini bag takes on this season’s key camouflage print, ornamented with Miu Miu’s unmistakable solitaire clasp, but is available in an array of jewel tones if you’re looking for something a tad more understated.
