Ferragamo Puts Its Spin on '80s-Inspired Tinted Sunglasses
Retro styles have made their return to fashion. With its new Multicolour Eyewear Capsule Collection, Ferragamo pays tribute to the much-beloved trend with its own version of tinted sunglasses.
With the rise of the many '80s-inspired styles (retro-athleisure, being one of them) we've seen along the streets and at big events like Coachella, it's clear that this trend is here to stay. Over time, big names like Robert Downey Jr., Elton John, Britney Spears, and Eve have taken to the trend and made it their own, opting for tinted sunglasses of various shapes and sizes as daily wear to keep the trend alive.
As such, Italian luxury fashion House Ferragamo got with the programme and released a Multicolour Eyewear Capsule Collection that's reminiscent of the must-have tinted sunglasses worn by stars back in the day.
Designed with the finest craftsmanship using low environmental impact materials (50% recycled materials, to be exact), the collection comes equipped with ultra-lightweight sunglasses in seven vibrant shades. These genderless accessories are also oversized and rectangular in shape to give them a touch of that '80s-esque big-framed aesthetic we all know and love.
To top it all off, the glasses are detailed with an embossed Gancini symbol and Ferragamo House logo printed on the inside to make them that much more unique to the House.
With a colour palette that pays tribute to Ferragamo's iconic Rainbow shoe and the popular '80s mood ring, the collection comes in colours like bright pink, orange, green, pale blue and yellow, as well as a more neutral grey and brown for days when you're not feeling too flashy. A playful capsule for every personality.
