Fendi and Ledger Take On the Metaverse
Fendi takes its first steps into the metaverse by releasing a debut collection of tech accessories.
Two of Fendi’s designs are being rendered to smaller than pocket-size versions to fashionably carry the Ledger Nano X, an all in one hardware wallet and digital management platform to secure and manage cryptocurrencies and digital assets.
To pay homage to the House’s most iconic bag, the ever recognizable silhouette of the Baguette is now available in miniature size in polished aluminium replete with embossed rivet and buckle details, still opening like a full-size bag to reveal a secure pocket to hold Ledger’s Nano X.
Another hardware wallet sees the light of day under the Fendi O’Lock design, as a 3D capsule-shape embellished with an FF frame and concealed hinge drawer that opens and closes with a simple touch.
Both accessories offer optimized wearability, with rotating snap hooks to attach them to a bag or your belt and an adjustable cord that allows you to wear each case around the neck or as a crossbody accessory. To demonstrate exquisite craftsmanship, fantasy variations of the polished aluminium design include gold plating, exotic leather inserts, and a glittery pavé surface of cubic zirconia.
This debut collection launches a landmark partnership between Fendi and Ledger, introducing the Italian Fashion House to the Metaverse. The meaning behind such a unique collaboration recognises a future where a new generation of luxury and craftsmanship will serve as a bridge between the physical and the virtual worlds.
