Dolce & Gabbana's SS23 Women’s Show Paid Tribute to Kim Kardashian's Attitude to Fashion

Kim Kardashian is a force to be reckoned with, known for her presence, business-minded attitude, and bold sense of style. Now, she plays the part of Dolce & Gabbana's newest muse for their Spring/Summer 2023 collection. 

Titled 'Ciao, Kim', the selection takes on the Kardashian's sense of style and transforms it into expressive works of contemporary fashion, revisiting archival silhouettes (from the '90s and '00s – time periods that influenced the Kardashian's style greatly) and infusing the brand's DNA into "rethought, repurposed, and reinterpreted" pieces of today. 

Instead of creating carbon copies of Kardashian's typical street style and evening wear, the brand fashioned pieces to fit every woman. "Domenico Dolce, Stefano Gabbana and Kim Kardashian, with a leading role as the Collection’s curator, bring to life the dream of today's woman," says the brand in an official statement, "exalting feminine beauty in all its forms and expressions: a state of the soul, the attitude and courage that make every woman unique."

As a result, we saw models grace the runway in ensembles that were "uniquely Kim" but also undoubtedly suited for any woman you see on the street nowadays. Highlights of the collection include icons of the Kardashian's sense of fashion – statement faux fur coats, structural corsets, all-black bodysuits (a nod to her 2021 Met Gala look), metallic dresses, and more. And of course, every look was complete with a slim Kardashian-approved heel.
