Meet Charles de Vilmorin: The 24-Year-Old Artistic Director Of Rochas

Over the past few years, French designer Charles de Vilmorin has quickly seen himself climb his way up the international fashion scene. Having graduated from the esteemed De la Chambre Syndicale de la Couture Parisienne in 2019 – a fashion school that has seen the talents of Karl Lagerfeld and Valentino Garavani – the 24-year-old is set to present his very first collection in Spring of 2022. 

Prior to this, the rising star was best known for his bold, vibrant and quilted bomber jackets which he had first launched as part of his graduate collection. As for this link to the house of Rochas? It is said the designer's great-aunt Louise de Vilmorin – a novelist and poet – was acquainted with Marcel Rochas' wife, Hélène Rochas.

"I am extremely honoured to be joining the Maison Rochas as Creative Director. Rochas is a brand that holds a special place in my heart, due to both deep personal family ties and the label's heritage which I find so rich and inspiring. I can't wait to bring my personal touch and reinterpret the codes of the beautiful Maison," he shares.
