Chanel Creates an Optimistic Space at the Palais Galliera in Paris
The return of in-person fashion shows could not have come at a better time — with Chanel’s haute couture collection impressing audiences everywhere. The gorgeous architecture of the Palais Galliera provided an uncomplicated canvas for Viard to feature her vibrant take on winter.
Viard’s vision featured an array of polychromatic tweed ensembles, elaborate and textured skirts, statement embroidered dresses, and chic gowns that reflect the timelessness of Parisian style.
And what a show it was — Gone are the days where runways only exist in a singular line. Models walking the show explored levels and rounded arches of the galleria’s architectural design: invoking positive emotions in the audience via the vibrancy of the collection and the intimate space between them.
Margaret Qualley ended off the show with a playful strut in her elegant bridal dress, polka-dotted chiffon veil, and a bouquet of flowers in her hands — smiling all the way. And, of course, in proper ceremonial tradition, there was a cheeky bridal toss at the end of it.
