Blackpink's Lisa Opens Victoria's Secret 2024 First Fashion Show Since Hiatus
Lisa rocked the stage with a performance of "Rockstar," and then returned with a spectacular performance of "Moonlit Floor" for the return of this iconic fashion show after a 6-year absence.
Lisa from BLACKPINK set the stage ablaze at the 2024 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show, making a splashy entrance that electrified the audience. As part of the brand’s first all-female lineup—which included icons like the legendary Cher and rising star Tyla—Lisa brought her unique flair to the event, performing reimagined versions of her hits "Rockstar" and "Moonlit Floor."
Dressed in a bold two-piece leather outfit that screamed attitude, Lisa turned heads with her crop-top jacket made entirely of can lid rings. The eye-catching ensemble featured a striking star emblem on her chest with her name, “LISA,” emblazoned in metal, adding a signature touch. She made an unforgettable entrance, riding onto the stage on a motorcycle, flanked by 10 backup dancers. As the beat dropped, Lisa dived into a high-energy choreography that matched the edgy vibe of her look. Known for constantly reinventing her performances, she breathed new life into "Rockstar," making sure it felt fresh and on-brand for the event. As the song built up, the performance reached a fever pitch with a fiery stage spectacle, culminating in Lisa’s dramatic leg-split finale. The crowd went wild as she confidently strutted down the runway, owning every second.
After Lisa’s showstopping act, the fashion parade officially kicked off with Bella Hadid gliding down the runway in a soft pink lingerie set, setting the tone for the rest of the show. The models strutted to the pulsing beat of Chappell Roan’s hit “Femininomenon,” adding an extra layer of excitement to the already vibrant atmosphere.
Tyla kept the energy high with back-to-back performances of her chart-toppers “Water” and “Push 2 Start,” and then Lisa made her highly anticipated return to the runway. This time, she rocked a sultry cut-out lace bodysuit paired with Victoria’s Secret’s iconic metallic floral wings. The daring outfit, part of the brand’s newest collection, debuted right there on the Victoria's Secret stage. Lisa treated the audience to her latest single, “Moonlit Floor,” a smooth track that seamlessly weaves in elements of Sixpence None the Richer’s timeless hit “Kiss Me,” creating a dreamy fusion of nostalgia and newness.
Interestingly, Lisa was the final artist announced for this year's star-studded Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, with the official lineup dropping in September. Her appearance also marked a special moment for the brand’s comeback, as it’s the first time the show has returned since being canceled in 2019 due to criticism over its lack of diversity. This year, the inclusion of powerhouse performers like Cher and Tyla, along with Lisa’s electrifying performances, signaled a new era for the iconic fashion event.
In a statement leading up to her performance, Lisa shared her excitement, saying, “When it comes to fashion, the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show is iconic, and I’m so thrilled to be joining so many strong, amazing women for its return! It’s going to be a night to remember.”
Lisa’s growing influence in the fashion world has been undeniable in recent years. Just this July, Louis Vuitton announced her as their newest Global Ambassador, describing her as “a key player in reshaping global music culture” and lauding her fearless, trendsetting style, cementing her status as a major force in both music and fashion.
Her musical journey continues to soar, too. Three years after the release of her debut EP "Lalisa," Lisa came back strong with "Rockstar," which she performed at the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards, sharing the spotlight with Rosalía for their joint track “New Woman.” Last week, she followed it up with her third single of the year, “Moonlit Floor,” after premiering it live at the Global Citizen Festival in New York on September 28.
