Blackpink's Jennie Stuns in Monochrome Chanel at Paris Fashion Week

“Obsessed with this look” was the caption under Jennie’s Instagram post and we have to say, we are too. Arriving at Paris Fashion Week for Chanel's Fall/Winter 2022/23 Show on Tuesday, the K-pop sensation made serious waves with this monochromatic Chanel look. 

Comprised of an embroidered velvet blouson with a matching skirt (look 8 from the Fall/Winter 2022/23 Ready-to-Wear pre-collection) and a black tweed top from the Spring/Summer 2022 Ready-to-Wear collection, the look oozed a sporty-school-girl glam vibe that perfectly blended the allure of Parisian chic with our contemporary street style codes, while her choice of pitch-black velvet added a touch of the '90s. The Chanel Ambassador injected a dose of cutesy, girlish charm to the look with her accessory choices, pairing white lace, bow detail ankle socks with a pair of edgy-feminine chunky black platform heels that had a hint of retro flair.

Jennie kept her make-up fresh and simple and in keeping with the girlish-edgy theme, did her hair up in darling, milkmaid style braids that featured black ribbons peeking through the side. Flirty and edgy, ultra-chic and glamorous, this is one look that's got everyone talking.  

To lift the monochrome black ensemble, Jennie played with contrast, opting for bold, gold-tone bling. Layered choker and lariat style necklaces with chains of varying thickness as well as Chanel's Coco Crush rings in 18-karat yellow, white and beige gold with diamonds. Her jewellery choices brought a little drama while brightening up the whole look. The final flourish? An adorable, black and gold Chanel minaudière that perfectly tied the whole outfit together.
