Hermès Gives Winter Minimalism in its Fall/Winter 2024 Show
In a captivating display of craftsmanship and legacy, Hermès unveiled its latest women's collection for Fall/Winter 2024, where leather and skin took center stage once more.
Set against a backdrop reminiscent of a rainy urban day, drops of water cascading down the catwalk, Hermès skillfully recreated the ambiance indoors. Under the discerning eye of Creative Director Nadège Vanhee-Cybulski, previously of The Row, Céline, and Maison Margiela fame, the maison unveiled a minimalist yet elegant collection, showcasing its enduring affection for leather.
The runway commenced with monochromatic ensembles in rich burgundy and reddish hues, gradually transitioning into a palette of browns, beiges, and pastel yellows before culminating in striking all-black ensembles. This wintery collection captivated with its amalgamation of textures and painstakingly crafted garments.
Leather seamlessly intermingled with knits and fur in a harmonious fusion across jackets, coats, sweaters, pants, and skirts. Among the standout accessories were the iconic Kelly and Birkin bags, alongside belts, chunky rings adorning the models' fingers, and long all-terrain boots, epitomizing the Hermès woman's readiness for any occasion as she strode down the catwalk.
