From eventful moments like Will Smith’s mini tussle with Chris Rock on stage, Amy Schumer’s jawdropping Leonardo DiCaprio age gap joke, to Jessica Chastain’s big win as Best Actress for ‘The Eyes of Tammy Faye’ and Troy Kotsur’s historical win for ‘CODA’ as the first deaf man to win an Oscar, the 94th Academy Awards were nothing short of spectacular. After all, this is the award show that gave us the iconic ‘La La Land’ and ‘Moonlight’ mix up that still has people talking in 2022.

The night also saw stars in various glamorous ensembles from luxury Houses Dior, Gucci, Prada, Louis Vuitton, Miu Miu, Saint Laurent, Chanel, and more. Take a look at L’Officiel Singapore’s favourite looks from the 2022 Oscars below.

First-time Academy Award-winner Jessica Chastain dazzled in a gorgeous and flowy sequined Gucci gown in tulle, finished off with an organza ruffle-trimmed hem. She paired the look with a selection of diamond and spinel pieces from the House’s High Jewelry collection – Hortus Deliciarum.

Timothée Chalamet

‘Dune’ star Timothée Chalamet added a touch of glamour to his all-black ensemble at the Oscars this year. Abandoning the thought of wearing a traditional dress shirt, Chalamet bared his chest under a sequined Louis Vuitton suit with lace hems on the sleeves. He accessorised with a long neck chain and rings.

Andrew Garfield

The ‘tick, tick...BOOM!’ and ‘The Eyes of Tammy Faye’ actor kept his look simple with a velvet Saint Laurent suit in maroon. He accentuated the ensemble with a ribbon-esque bow tie around his neck and a shiny pair of shoes to add a little pizzazz to the fit.

Lupita Nyong'o

A vision in gold. Lupita Nyong'o shined bright on the red carpet in a sequined shimmery gown by Prada. She elevated her look with an intricate updo consisting of twists, locs, braids, and weaves. “It’s a sisterlocks updo with a soft, graceful, glamorous feel influenced by what Lupita is wearing and the occasion,” says François, Nyong'o’s hairstylist.

Rachel Zegler

Dior’s dream girl and leading lady of ‘West Side Story’ Rachel Zegler wore a luxe Dior Haute Couture evening dress in black silk tulle. The Oscar presenter’s gown was embroidered with "vermicelli" diamond shapes of black satin tubes and tassels of fine pearls.

Rami Malek

Rami Malek kept it classy with a traditional black and white tuxedo designed by Prada, and accessorised with a subtle and short chain presented on his collar, a luxe watch, and neatly-coiffed hair.

Olivia Colman

Another vision in Dior Haute Couture. Olivia Colman wore a long pleated Dior silver silk gown with a fan effect and paired the look with a messy updo and diamond jewellery.

Stephanie Beatriz

‘Brooklyn Nine-Nine’ star Stephanie Beatriz wore an elegant Dior Haute Couture Autumn/Winter 2019/20 pleated, twisted “peplum” gown with an asymmetrical panel in black chiffon. She accentuated the look with statement earrings, a bracelet, rings, and a loud red lipstick.

Billie Eilish

Showing off her recently dyed black hair, the singer complemented the look with an oversized black Gucci gown adorned with ruffles. She also highlighted the tattoos on her hands with large statement rings.

Kristen Stewart

‘Spencer’ star Kristen Stewart embraced the casual-chic style of Chanel with a fitting blazer, white undershirt, and a pair of black shorts. “We were teetering between pants and shorts,” says stylist Swennen, “but Kristen, being the fashion chameleon that she is, was like, ‘Let’s do it. Let’s go for shorts.’”

Zoë Kravitz

‘Batman’ actress Zoë Kravitz opted for something sweeter in a strapless pastel pink Saint Laurent by Anthony Vaccarello gown and classy diamond choker by Kwiat.

Elliot Page

Like his other looks, Elliot Page showed up in a stylishly traditional tuxedo – this time designed by Gucci. The actor went for a slightly bigger tux than usual for his frame and tied the look with an oversized bow tie.

Penélope Cruz

Oscar-nominated actress Penélope Cruz wowed the crowd with a chic halter gown by Chanel. The number came with masculine touches reminiscent of a suit vest, as well as accentuated with ruched details around the waist for a bolder look.

Daniel Kaluuya

Presenter Daniel Kaluuya showed up in a vibrant almost turquoise-green tuxedo by Gucci and accessorised with a statement gold ring on his pinky finger.

Demi Singleton

‘King Richard’s’ star Demi Singleton went for a sweet embellished silk number by Miu Miu. The lilac gown only accentuated Singleton’s effortless elegance with its strapless and fitting structure.
