All the Looks From the Miu Miu Fall 2022 Show
Prada’s sister label kept its sensational Micro Miniskirt on rotation this season, introducing new variations of the set and many more stunning looks.
Miu Miu does it again! The Italian fashion House closed off Paris Fashion Week with a bang. For Spring 22, the brand shook the fashion community by bringing back the micro mini skirt, which whether you like it or not, proved to be a roaring sensation. The iconic Miu Miu set, with its midriff-baring mini skirts and super cropped crop-top, was a defining look for the Spring 2022 season and was quickly adopted by many celebs of the likes of Zendaya, Nicole Kidman, Chiara Ferragni and many more. This season, Miuccia Prada reassured us that this look is here to stay.
While the Spring iteration of the miniskirt, and the collection overall, had an officewear feel to it, this Fall 2022 collection takes on a more sporty twist. The pleated style of the white miniskirt was styled with silky Miu Miu boxers, cropped polo shirts and knee-high socks, making anyone stylishly ready for the tennis court.
The sporty theme continued as Miu Miu experimented with gender fluidity and reintroduced menswear to its runway for the first time since 2008. After a 13 year-long hiatus, Miu Miu's menswear collection returned with four looks that fuse masculinity and feminitiy. As part of the menswear pieces, models wore knitted tennis sets in navy blue and white oversized shirts and short shorts, leather pants with knits and a reiteration of the Miu Miu set for men.
The collection then took on a more girly iteration rather than sporty. Sheer crystalline dresses embellished with rhinestones and crystals, with plunging necklines soon took over the runway.
However, it really was the collection’s outerwear that served as a reminder that we were in fact witnessing a Fall collection. Some heavy pilot jackets were embedded in crystals, other variations included snakeskin-printed leather and faux fur colours.
Overall, the collection truly resonated with Miu Miu’s DNA and was distinctive of Miuccia Prada’s style of designing as a woman, for women.
