One of fashion’s most highly anticipated events has finally come and gone. The iconic Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City was thriving amongst the glitz and glamour of the stars to celebrate the Costume Institute’s latest exhibition: ‘In America: A Lexicon of Fashion’. True to its theme, attendees came dressed in outfits that range from classy to avant-garde.

Of course, the Internet had much to say about the many looks presented on the red carpet for the occasion and the spectacle of the event itself; our favourite still being the running joke of Jason Derulo tumbling down the steps at the Met. This year, many had much to say about Kim Kardashian’s almost-gimpish all-black ensemble: Many joking that the celebrity was influenced by ‘American Horror Story: Murder House’ with her look. But alas, it is still a look, no less.

The guest list saw entertainment’s A-listers like Regina King, Emily Blunt, and J Lo in attendance. Below, take a look at our top picks of looks from the Met Gala 2021.
