Aespa's Karina Officially Joins Prada as Newest Brand Ambassador
The K-pop sensation is bringing her versatility and style to the luxury House.
Prada has announced Karina, the charismatic leader of the immensely popular K-pop group Aespa, as its newest global ambassador. The Italian luxury powerhouse continues to embrace the K-pop wave, deepening its connection to the South Korean music industry. This follows last year’s appointment of the seven-member sensation Enhypen as ambassadors, further signaling the brand's dedication to this cultural phenomenon.
At just 24, Karina has already become a prominent figure in both music and fashion. Earlier this year, she made a captivating appearance at Prada's Men’s Fall/Winter 2024 show in Milan, where her presence turned heads. She graced the event in one of Prada’s standout looks—a silk gazar shift dress layered with superfine organza from the brand’s Spring 2024 womenswear collection—cementing her reputation as both a fashion icon and a versatile performer.
In her new role, Karina joins an illustrious roster of South Korean talent associated with Prada. Among them are acclaimed actor Kim Tae-ri, singers Jeon So-mi and Sana Minatozaki (a Japanese-born star from the girl group TWICE), as well as singer, songwriter, and actor Jaehyun of NCT. Enhypen also continues to represent the brand, making Karina the latest addition to this stellar lineup.
Karina’s collaboration with Prada showcases the brand’s forward-thinking approach, fusing fashion with the dynamic energy of K-pop. Since Aespa’s debut in 2020 with the hit single Black Mamba, the group has captivated global audiences with their innovative concept, blending real and virtual members, and establishing themselves as pioneers in the K-pop industry. Karina’s appointment as Prada’s ambassador reflects both her personal influence and Prada’s commitment to staying at the forefront of cultural and style trends of today.
