Longchamp the Épure: A Bucket Bag for Your Bucket List
The personification of Parisian chic lies in Longchamp’s latest addition, the Épure. The timeless and elegant style brings forth the incalculable spirit of the House.
The intrinsic circular and sturdy silhouette return to the spotlight this Fall. Joining the Épure collection, the new Longchamp bucket is reimagined with intricately braided cowhide leather, reminiscent of multi-coloured cane weaves in the iconic French bistro chairs on the streets of Paris. The contemporary design is a nod to the maison’s Fall/Winter 2022 RTW collection — an iteration of the textures of a cable-knit sweater.
Not to mention, Longchamp has made a conscious effort to not purchase new materials to produce the designs, and instead repurpose their leftovers from previous productions. This extends the sustainability and desirability of the bag beyond a frequently utilised accessory. The updated Épure line features three variations, each designed with the artful pairing of vibrant hues. The range is available in beige with predominantly red, yellow and blue accents and blue trim on the top, base and handle; orange with white, blue and purple accents and purple trim; and pale pink with white, red and black accents and black trim. Championing the House’s savoir-faire, the black leather bucket is woven with strips of snow-white and heritage green.
The Épure collection is also joined by a small crossbody bag inspired by the Russian Leather that forms the Le Pilage flap and a bottle holder with leather lace. Sporting in black, brown, orange and green, the bottle holder comes accompanied by a 500-ml insulated steel bottle that is embellished with the emblematic racehorse logo and dynamic side stripes in bold green.
The Longchamp Épure Bucket bags are now available in-stores and online, while the Longchamp Épure Crossbody bags and Bottle Holders will be in-stores and online from 28 June onwards.
