Gigi Hadid, Alexander Wang & Misty Copeland Star in 2019 Pirelli Calendar
The photos of the 2019 Pirelli Calendar have just been revealed and they do not disappoint. Titled "Dreaming", the latest edition of the fine art calendar features famous faces such as model Gigi Hadid, American ballerina Misty Copeland, as well as actresses Laetitia Casta and Julia Garner.
The four women each portray different characters at "significant crossroads in their lives" for the calendar's cinematic photos: Julia Garner is a botanical photographer; Laetitia Casta is painter; Misty Copeland channels an aspiring classical dancer; and Gigi Hadid is a wealthy socialite whose confidant is played by Alexander Wang — the first fashion designer to feature in a Pirelli Calendar.
The dreamlike images were shot in both Miami and New York by renowned Scottish photographer Albert Watson (AKA the man who gave us that iconic black and white photo of Steve Jobs) last April. Discover them below:
