Pantone Announces the Colour of the Year 2019: Living Coral

The vibrant colour is said to encourage joyful activity and symbolises our innate need for optimism and playful expression.

After 2018's Colour Of the Year Ultraviolet, Pantone announces the chosen hue for 2019: Living Coral. The shade, a result of extensive trend research by the brand, is said to be a colour that "welcomes and encourages joyful activity, symbolising our innate need for optimism and playful expression".

The influence comes from the seabed, fishes and corals, which convey a soft and yet vibrant vibe. It's the perfect mix between the current life - one that's always connected and active, and at the same time searching for inner peace.

On the spring/summer 2019 runways, the tone appeared in fashion shows such as Prada , Brandon Maxwell and Franz Elisabetta. For the upcoming fashion season, we're sure to see more looks coordinated with the It-shade of 2019.
