Natalie Portman takes her work to the extremes and throws herself into playing a character, without any fear of significant physical transformations. When she needed to play ballerina Nina Sayers in 'Black Swan' (2010), the star needed to lose almost 10 kg, reaching almost 43 kg, and her effort was well-rewarded by her winning the main awards that year, including the Oscar for Best Actress. Now, Natalie is getting ready to play the role of a great heroine in the 'Thor' franchise.

In the new trailer for 'Thor: Love and Thunder' (watch it below), Natalie certainly impressed her fans by appearing well-muscled in the role of Jane Foster. But what was the intensive preparation to achieve that physique like? In an interview with Vanity Fair, Natalie talked about the whole process: "It was a lot of fun. I worked with a trainer, Naomi Pendergast, for four months before filming and obviously during filming as well. We did a lot of weight training and took lots of protein shakes – it was heavyweight training that I had never done before."

She added: "I never had the goal of getting pumped. It was very physical, so it was very agile work and also strength work." After all, the action scenes can prove to be a great challenge. "It definitely changed the way I move. You walk differently; you feel different. I mean, it's so crazy to feel strong for the first time in my life."
