Who Is Emily Alyn Lind, The New Blair Waldorf Of Gossip Girl?
Hey Upper East Siders, guess who was spotted at Reboot Central with bags in hand? Emily Alyn Lind. HBO Max's hotly anticipated Gossip Girl remake has found its new Blair Waldorf, and Lind is wearing the headband now.
The reboot is set eight years after the original's finale, and will follow a new generation of privileged teens who are introduced to the Gossip Girl site. Lind plays a character named Audrey, who "has been in a long term relationship and is beginning to wonder what more could be out there".

The actress might only be 17, but she already has a long list of film and TV credits to her name. Lind made her onscreen debut at the age of just six, when she portrayed a younger Dakota Fanning in The Secret Life Of Bees. From there, she played Shirley Temple in Martin Scorsese's movie J. Edgar, and nabbed recurring roles in the TV dramas Revenge and All My Children. She also starred in Netflix's Bella Thorne-led horror film The Babysitters, and The Shining's 2019 sequel Doctor Sleep.
A true multi-hyphenate, Lind released her first official single "Castles" in November of last year, and she frequently shares song covers and guitar solos with her 123K followers on her Instagram (@emilyalind).
Lind hails from a real showbiz family. Her father is an assistant director and producer, and her mother is veteran actress Barbara Alyn Woods, who played Deb Scott on nine seasons of One Tree Hill. Lind's older sister Natalie has had major roles in Gotham and The Goldbergs, while her younger sister Alyvia, starred in the 2018 romantic comedy Overboard.
No concrete date has been given for the reboot, but we're sure to get more casting news soon, and producers have noted that the series will have more inclusive casting than the original. So stay tuned!
