Kourtney Opens Up About Why She Is Leaving Keeping Up With The Kardashians

Looks like Kourtney Kardashian isn’t Keeping up with the Kardashians anymore. The celebrity recently opened up in an interview at a Arabian publication on her decision to leave her family’s long-running reality TV show, which she has appeared in since Day 1. 

 “I have been filming the show non-stop for 13 years, 19 seasons and six spin-off seasons. I was feeling unfulfilled and it became a toxic environment for me to continue to have it occupy as much of my life as it was,” she says.

She continued: "People have this misconception that I don't want to work, which is not true. I'm following my happiness and putting my energy into what makes me happy." 

Speculation had been going on for months after messy feuding with her sisters, but looks like Kourtney is officially stepping back from the show for good. 

In December last year, during the emotional Kardashians 17th season finale, she told family members Kim Kardashian, Khloe Kardashian, Kendall Jenner and Kris Jenner "I'm getting to the point where I'm not happy," explaining that "everyone has their breaking point."

The mother of three also had a lengthy dispute with Kim and Khloe, where the two threatened to boot their sister off the long running TV programme when she had previously set her boundaries around the series.

Kourtney had expressed she wanted to devote more time and energy to being a mother, where she has three kids she shares with Scott Disick, Reign, 5, Mason, 10, Penelope, 8.

Keeping up With The Kardashians without Kourtney is going to feel very different. But this isn’t entirely unheard of for a Kardashian to leave the series. Kylie and Kendall have certainly stepped back in recent seasons, and Rob barely appears on KUWTK.

The next season of KUWTK will air later in September this year, where the family goes into quarantine during the pandemic.
