Now, the masterminds behind the Regency-era sensation are already setting the stage for a tantalizing season four. The upcoming season will adapt the third book in Julia Quinn’s Bridgerton series, An Offer From a Gentleman, introducing the captivating Yerin Ha as Sophie Beckett, the love interest of Luke Thompson’s Benedict Bridgerton.
In Quinn’s novel, Sophie Beckett is the illegitimate daughter of an earl, who finds herself entangled in a forbidden romance with Benedict, the second son of the noble Bridgerton family. The identity of the actress portraying this estranged heiress remained a mystery—until Yerin Ha was revealed as the new star of the show.
Ha, a relative newcomer to the industry at 29 years old, has already made her mark. She’s perhaps best known for her role in Stephen Spielberg’s Halo series, as well as the boarding school drama Bad Behaviour. With a role in the upcoming Dune: Prophecy series, she is certainly a rising talent to watch. Born in Sydney to Korean parents, Ha carries a prestigious legacy as the granddaughter of renowned South Korean actress and former politician Son Sook.
