Kate Middleton Is 'Smiling, Upbeat, and Enjoying Being Out' Amid Disappearance Rumours

The Princess of Wales is reportedly in good spirits during her recovery despite the drama surrounding her sick leave.

On the heels of the drama surrounding Kate Middleton’s disappearance from public life due to her lengthy sick leave from royal duties, Harper’s Bazaar has some exclusive new reporting on what the Princess has really been up to. According to sources who spoke with Bazaar, Middleton has in fact left the house at least three times this week, and is in optimistic spirits over her medical recovery, despite commentary all over social media surrounding her bad photo editing skills. An insider source told the magazine that she is “doing well, all things considered,” and that even on one of her occasions outside of the house she was seen “smiling, upbeat, and enjoying being out.”

The royal insider continued that the current discourse surrounding Middleton and her whereabouts has been a stresser for her at home, especially considering how it impacts her children. “[This situation] has caused some stress for the princess, but she tends not to pay attention to online chatter or even the press. I think people forget that this was simply a mother wanting her family to look their best in a photograph that was going to be heavily scrutinized. She was protecting her children,” the insider relayed to Harper’s Bazaar.

According to the source, the rumours swirling about the Princess of Wales are unfounded and are “ridiculous conspiracy theories. It was always made very clear that following the princess’s surgery, she would recover in private until returning to duties after Easter. Nothing has changed on that front,” shares the palace source, adding, “this is all rather unfortunate, there is also a sense that, despite the hysteria and fevered online response, it will also blow over soon."

"This is not the first storm to hit these parts!” the source added, likely referring to the online tabloid drama surrounding the Princess, Prince William, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, Duchess of Sussex.
