Watch out Regé-Jean Page and Jonathan Bailey, there's a new Bridgerton heartthrob being added to the list — and he's a King. After the recent release of Bridgerton prequel Queen Charlotte, Corey Mylchreest has successfully caught the attention of the Bridgerton fandom. Starring alongside India Amarteifio (young Queen Charlotte), Mylchreest takes on the role of young King George. Taking a step away from the Bridgerton family, Queen Charlotte follows the politics and romantic journey of Queen Charlotte and King George.

Watchers met Mylchreest's character in the first episode, where Charlotte and George had unexpected banter minutes before their wedding. Each season of Bridgerton has been praised for the undeniable chemistry between the main characters, and Queen Charlotte was no exception. Though Charlotte and George were essentially strangers — having unionized through an arranged marriage — throughout the season you could witness the passion and tension between them. While there's no word on whether Queen Charlotte will be renewed for a second season, we certainly wouldn't mind continuing to see Mylchreest in the future.

Mylchreest is not a complete novice in the acting world. The 25-year-old graduated from the U.K. Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts in 2020, where he did stage acting for plays such as Hamlet, Julius Caesar, and Tales From The Vienna Woods. While he has a background in theatre, his role as young King George marks his breakout role in film. Beyond Queen Charlotte, Mylchreest held a minor role in Netflix's The Sandman

Speaking on his experience working with the Queen Charlotte series, Mylchreest expressed his excitement from the very beginning. "At the time [of the auditon], the show was really under wraps, and for the first round, they used a scene from the first season of Bridgerton," he said during a Netflix Q&A. "Then they sent through two scenes from the first episode of Queen Charlotte when George and Charlotte meet for the first time before their wedding. At that stage, I knew almost nothing about what the project was, but what was really exciting for me, especially in that first scene, was that I thought it was just really funny, and that George was quite a witty character. That was an immediate pull."

In preparation for his position as a leading man, Mylchreest revealed to Today that Page gave him some advice: "Anything that's outside out the stuff that will help you between action and cut doesn't exist, and everything that will help you, it does," Mylchreest recalled on what Page told him. "Let that stuff in, but everything else, just let it slide off you."

With all eyes on Mylchreest, the world is watching, waiting, and excited to see where his acting career will take him next.
