Louis Vuitton certainly knows how to do it when it comes to celebrating milestones. For its 160-year history of creative exchanges and artistic collaborations, the French fashion label unveiled 'Louis Vuitton X' - an expansive and immersive exhibition housing the works of Louis Vuitton over the years. Actress Millie Bobby Brown, Hailee Steinfeld, Emma Chamberlain, The Dolan Twins, Miranda Kerr and Jaden Smith were amongst other guests and VIPs who attended the launch of this remarkable exhibition.

Spanning across two floors of a building on Rodeo Drive, the exhibition includes many of the brand’s artist collaborations as well as ready-to-wear pieces from Marc Jacobs, Kim Jones, Nicolas Ghesquière, and Virgil Abloh. Impressive, beautiful and bold, this exhibition is might possibly be another famous Instagram spot in Los Angeles.

Spanning across nine themes, the exhibition brings together a remarkable collection of early twentieth-century special-order trunks, and iconic Monogram bags reworked by renowned artists and designers, such as Karl Lagerfeld, Rei Kawakubo, Cindy Sherman and Frank Gehry; and original collaborations and commissions by artists including Yayoi Kusama, Richard Prince and Zaha Hadid.

This is where contemporary art comes in: the Louis Vuitton Capucines bag. The iconic bag is named after the street where Louis Vuitton opened his first store and now, six leading contemporary artists were welcomed to introduce their own creative interpretation of the bag. The new artist collaborations with Sam Falls, Urs Fischer, Nicholas Hlobo, Alex Israel, Tschabalala Self, and Jonas Wood show us designs like no other.

Take Tschabalala's for example; an exceptional patchwork of nineteen types of leather, including colourful touches of precious lizard leather, the bag takes a vibrant change in the House’s Monogram pattern and retails for $8,600.

If you would like to experience what Louis Vuitton is all about in a day, the Louis Vuitton X and the exclusive pop-up store will both be open to the public from June 28 through September 15. Located at 468 N Rodeo Dr, be sure not to miss it.
