BTS V' Releases New MV "Love Me Again" for His Debut Solo Album 'Layover'
The K-pop icon has finally unveiled his first solo album 'Layover' — here's everything you need to know from the sultry video to the release schedule
BTS' V has finally unveiled his debut solo album, Layover and along with it a sultry new music video for its first track titled, "Love Me Again."
The news was announced by Big Hit Music — BTS' label — via social media, accompanied by a teaser video and release date. Layover will release on September 8, featuring six tracks: “Rainy Days,” “Blue,” “Love Me Again,” “Slow Dancing,” For Us,” and “Slow Dancing.” Ahead of the announcement, it was revealed last week that V would be working with NewJeans' creative director Min Hee-jin for the album, according to NME.
In the lead up to the highly anticipated release of Layover, V has premiered his first official music video for vibe-y, R&B song "Love Me Again" — the first track on his album. The music video and song sets the tone for the album and it's a sultry one indeed, which emphasises the best parts of V's barritone and jazzy voice. The MV itself is a simple yet luxurious one with a blonde V crooning on the mic, serenading the listener while dressed in glamorous sequined pieces from Celine Men's Fall 2022 collection.
For those who can't get enough of V visuals, fret not as all five tracks (excluding the bonus track) will have official music videos, which sounds like Christmas morning to any ARMY out there.

After the news shocked the world that BTS would be going on a temporary hiatus for the near future, many fans questioned if this would be the last of what we see of the group for a while or if they will break out and do solo projects. So far, it's been the latter, as other members Jungkook, Jimin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, and Jin have all also released solo projects.
V's previous solo projects include “Stigma,” “Singularity,” “Winter Bear,” “Inner Child," and “Christmas Tree.” The news of his upcoming debut solo album also comes shortly after V was announced as Cartier's newest global ambassador. He joins an already A-list lineup of ambassadors, including Jackson Wang, Elle Fanning, Rami Malek, and Willow Smith, to name a few.
"When it came to embodying the magnetism and aura of the panther, our choice naturally fell on V," Senior Vice-president and Chief Marketing Officer, Arnaud Carrez explained in a statement. "He has the look and strength of character. A personality whose choices are guided by creativity as a dancer, musician or art lover, with this style and this elegance that belong only to him."
