In a Rare Interview, Beyoncé Announces She Is "Slowing Down"
Beyoncé is one of the most famous and biggest names in the music industry. Over the past decade, she has launched numerous grandiose projects and starred in several iconic moments. But one thing she hasn't been too interested in is giving interviews, The singer keeps her personal life private, escaping the high media exposure and pressures that comes with being as big a star as herself, and has found her own way to find balance. But, after long months of social isolation, the singer gave out a rare interview on how the pandemic changed and made her feel that she needed to slow down at work, and deepen her relationships with her children.
“[I] have changed completely. It would be difficult to experience life in a pandemic and the current social unrest and not be changed ”reveals the singer in an interview with Edward Enninful. “I learned that my voice is clearer when I'm standing still. I really enjoy this time with my family, and my new goal is to slow down and get rid of the stressful things in my life ”, says the singer.
Beyoncé explains that since entering music at the tender age of 15, she has been woking non-stop. “I spent a lot of time focusing on building my legacy and representing my culture in the best way I know how. Now, I decided to give myself permission to focus on my joy ”. The singer released Lemonade during her Formation World Tour, gave birth to twins, performed at Coachella, directed Homecoming, and went on another tour with husband, Jay-Z, then Black Is King, all back to back, she explained.
As for family, the singer gives a tip on how to deal with the children during this phase. "My best advice is to love them more than ever", she explains. “I made my children know that they are never too young to contribute to changing the world. I never underestimate their thoughts and feelings, and I examine them to understand how it is affecting them. ”
