The 74th Emmy Awards are two months away—where some of the biggest names in television will be honoured for their excellent performances from the year. The series nominated were no surprise to anyone. Shows like 'Euphoria', 'Only Murders in the Building', 'The White Lotus', and 'Succession' dominated the nominations list. However, every year, there are always names that we are shocked to see not amongst the nominees. In honour of nomination announcements, L'Officiel has compiled eight shocking Emmy nomination snubs from this year.

Jacob Elordi for 'Euphoria"

Despite how you may feel about Jacob Elordi's character Nate, it was some of the best work seen on the show. The actor's performance was twisted, creepy, and somewhat gruesome. Surprisingly, there were very few 'Euphoria' cast members nominated this year.

Millie Bobby Brown for 'Stranger Things'

'Stranger Things' season four has flooded timelines for weeks. One recurring theme was Millie Bobby Brown's performance this season. Despite the Netflix series sweep with 13 nominations, it's still surprising that Brown nor her castmates were nominated.

Sadie Sink for 'Stranger Things"

Sadie Sink also had a memorable performance during the latest season of 'Stranger Things'. Fans are currently in an uproar online for this snub.

The comedy amassed many nominations this year and while Selena Gomez's costars Martin Short and Steve Martin were nominated for Best Actor in a Comedy Series, it was surprising to see the actress's name wasn't on the Best Actress list. Even though the Rare Beauty founder wasn't recognized for her stellar acting in the series, she earned a nomination for her role as a producer.

'Only Murders in the Building' is currently available to stream on Disney+.

Jennifer Aniston for 'The Morning Show'

The 'Friends' alum was also amongst the biggest Emmy snubs this year. Aniston was previously nominated in 2020 for her role as Alex on the show. This year, Aniston's costar Reese Witherspoon earned a nomination for Best Actress in a Drama Series. Hopefully, next year, we can see both pop culture icons nominated for their outstanding performances in the Apple TV series.

Viewers were a fan of Jessica Chastain's and Oscar Issac's chemistry (on and off-screen) throughout the series 'Scenes From a Marriage'. Issac received a nomination for Best Actor in a Limited Series. Chastain's emotional performance, however, did not earn her a spot on this year's Emmy nomination list.

Naveen Andrews for 'The Dropout'

Not only is 'The Dropout' one of the most impressive biopics released this year, but the Hulu limited show is also one of 2022's top series and Naveen Andrew's performance alongside Amanda Seyfried is one to talk about. However, his performance did not receive the nod we expected. Andrew was one of this year's most surprising snubs.

Julia Robert's transformation in 'Gaslit' was phenomenal. She and her costar Sean Penn were some of the biggest snubs this year. The show follows the thrilling story of the 1970 Watergate scandal. Roberts and Penn are also executive producers of the show.
