Get the Look: On-The-Go Summer Makeup with Marc Jacobs Beauty

There are some days when we have the luxury of time to perfect that cat eye, sharpen that contour, and make sure our highlight shines brighter than a unicorn on crack. But on most days, it can feel like the entire universe is against us – when all we have is a mere five minutes to look put together. 

Can relate? We've all been there. Lucky for us then that we've got expert help on hand to suss out a quick and easy makeup routine. Below, Gilbert Soliz, the Global Makeup Artist for Marc Jacobs Beauty demonstrates how to pull off bright amethyst eye makeup, a healthy flush on the cheeks, and youthful nude lips in just a matter of minutes.

1. Before putting on your base, prep your skin with the  Undercover Perfecting Coconut Primer for a touch of hydration and radiance. 

2. Buff the Genius Gel Super–Charged Oil–Free Foundation into the skin to create a naturally flawless complexion. 

3. For that bright pop of colour, apply Twinkle Pop Stick Eyeshadow in On The Verge all over the lids and blend it out with your fingers. 

4. To kick it up a notch, line your upper and lower lashline with the Highliner Matte Gel Eye Crayon in Grapevine and blend it out with a smudger brush to for that  smoky effect. 

5. Amplify the volume of your lashes with generous coats of the Velvet Noir Major Volume Mascara.

6. Buff the Air Blush in Night Fever and Hot Stuff liberally on the temples and the high points of the cheek bones for a healthy flush of colour. 

7. Dab on the Le Marc Lip Crème Lipstick in Infamous on the lips to give it a hint of colour, and the Enamored Hi-Shine Gloss Lip Lacquer Lipgloss in Sugar Sugar for a glossy finish. 

8. Finish the entire look off with a spritz or two of the Re(cover) Perfecting Coconut Setting Mist to set your makeup. And voila!
