K-Beauty Brand Tamburins Teases an Upcoming Campaign with Blackpink’s Jennie
Beloved for its couture-inspired cosmetics, Tamburins collaborated with Jennie last year for its ‘Perfume Shell X’ launch.
Come November 15, Tamburins, the cult-favourite Korean beauty label is dropping a new fragrance campaign with Jennie. The brand recently unveiled a line of teaser images, with the Blackpink singer carefully clutching what looks like a petite egg-shaped perfume bottle.
With little revealed so far, all we can look forward to is what we’re sure will be a stunning photo series of Jennie for this upcoming campaign. Tamburins included the hashtags #TheDayofSorceress and #PUMKINI on their Instagram preview, so hopefully we can expect a signature scent or a new eye-opening product from the brand. The adorable egg bottle comes with a long pearl strap that Jennie slings across her body (reminding us a little of Simone Rocha’s egg bag), so it seems the brand is once again underscoring its obsession with literally wearable cosmetics with this campaign.
This is not the first time Jennie has worked with Tamburins. She starred in a campaign with the brand last year for its ‘Perfume Shell X’ launch. The campaign images for the perfume collection were, of course, striking, but what really caught the public’s eye was Jennie’s acting and embodiment of the brand in the artistic short action film Solace.
Known for its couture-inspired beauty products, Tamburins made its way onto the K-beauty stage in 2017 with a hand cream, which was later bred into hand sanitisers and perfume balms. The brand is run by an affiliated company of Korean luxury eyewear label Gentle Monster, and Tamburins merges the elements of fashion, beauty and art in branding, just as Gentle Monster does in their marketing, and retail stores.
