Lady Gaga’s periwinkle Valentino gown was one of our favourite looks from this year’s Golden Globes Red Carpet. To match, the A Star is Born lead captivated with a blue-tinged beauty look which included blue hair and a stormy smoky eye.

Marc Jacobs Beauty global artistry ambassador Sarah Tanno was the makeup artist behind the show-stealing look. “She loved the idea of incorporating the colour of the dress into her hair and makeup, she wanted to feel like Lady Gaga,” said Tanno.

For the eyes, Tanno blended the Eye-conic Multi-Finish Eyeshadow in Frivoluxe together with a union of purple tones — Dress and How You Want for more dimension. Tanno then applied Highliner Gel Eye Crayon in Blacquer along the lash line, giving it a metallic sheen with See-Quins Glam Glitter Eyeshadow in Flashlight. The lashes were then amplified with Velvet Noir Major Volume Mascara.

To accentuate the iconic eye makeup, Tanno went minimal and nude for the skin. Lady Gaga’s skin was first prepped with Under(Cover) Perfecting Coconut Face Primer and buffed using Shameless Youthful-Look 24-H Foundation SPF 25. To give the complexion more warmth, Tanno used O!Mega Bronzer Coconut Perfect Tan in Tan-tastic! and Air Blush Soft Glow Duo in Kink & Kisses.

To balance the entire look, the lips were lined using Poutliner Longer Lip Liner Pencil in Prim(Rose), topped with New Nudes Sheer Gel Lipstick in Moody Margot. Natural hues of Lady Gaga’s lips were enhanced with the champagne gold-shimmer Enamored Hi-Shine Lip Lacquer Lipgloss in Sugar Sugar
