Chanel Celebrates N°5 With Revolutionary Experience
There is no doubt that the Chanel N°5 has marked the lives of many people, becoming an iconic fragrance that spanned decades with its timelessness and elegance. Now, at 100 years of its creation, the French maison launches a super special collection to mark the date, Factory 5.
The line has 17 items and a single ingredient: the highly prestigious Chanel N°5. In this way, perfume is revisited in packaging that reminds us of everyday objects, such as tubes of paint and oils. The perfect way to incorporate something as memorable as the brand's fragrance in relaxed – but equally chic – versions.
“There can be as much value in objects that we use regularly as in objects that we use on very special occasions. It all depends on the experience these products offer,” reveals Thomas du Pré de Saint Maur, Chanel's Head of Global Creative Resources for Fragrance and Beauty, about the collection.
When asked about the origin of the concept of the items, Thomas explains that the idea was to go back to the beginning of Chanel N°5. “To go and find, as Gabrielle Chanel did at the time, a new, eccentric and unexpected inspiration”, she reveals. “Through this concept, we want to go back to the process of creating the first package No. 5. At the time, it was a simple laboratory bottle, a functional object that became luxurious and iconic”.
The brand also reveals several amazing pop-up stores in the world's biggest cities – as well as a digital version for those who want to follow this idea from the comfort of their own home. In Brazil, the collection will be sold at JK Iguatemi's F&B Boutique until the end of August.
